The NHS Cardiac and Stroke Network for Lancashire and Cumbria facilitates the delivery of care for patients who have Coronary Heart Disease and those affected by Stroke. The Network aims to bring together clinicians, managerial staff and patients to ensure that the care services delivered always place the patient at the centre of planning. The website is a key communication tool for its work.

The Brief
The Network approached NuBlue with a brief to establish an online presence that would communicate information to members and patients in a way that would be accessible and easy to use. In order to effectively manage regular information updates and changes, the Network required a content management system that would be simple and quick to use.

The Solution
A challenging project from the start, we deployed our very best project management skills to ensure that everything would run like clockwork. The creative process involved the input of several members of the Network team, each with different ideas and suggestions to be considered in the development. To add structure to the content, we created an intuitive sitemap that would be easy to use and a content management system. We also redesigned the Networks existing website to give it a fresh, clean look.

The Result
The new website allows users to search for information quickly and easily using simple and intuitive navigation. The Network now has a crisp, clean online presence that is uncluttered and avoids information overload. The world’s most powerful publishing platform, ExpressionEngine, is built in to the website giving the Network complete control of the content and the structure of the information. It now has a website that allows for fast and effective communication and meets the brief exactly.
