Their experience, understanding and energy are why their customers use them again and again, and they wanted to bring that same energy, passion and professionalism to their web presence. NuBlue helped them do it with an award winning design.

The Brief
Cruise Connections needed a site that captured their friendly, customer service driven ethos while delivering a simple, effective cruise booking facility. A powerful on-site search engine needed to provide users with a comprehensive list of available world cruises. Our challenge was to create the perfect blend of design richness and simple, user-friendly practicality.

The Solution
We created a bespoke design based on Cruise Connections’ existing brand. The design would bring stock and original photography to life against a blue palette, with a wave motif evoking the relaxing, luxuriant feel of cruising. Integrating Revelex and Traveltek cruise ship booking engines would give the site a comprehensive, authoritative database of available cruises and ships. Cruise Connections’ Facebook and Twitter accounts would also be integrated onsite to help build engagement with its community. The website would be built on our own content management system (CMS). This would give the Cruise Connections team the power to simply and quickly amend and develop the site content.

The Result
Since re-launch, Cruise Connections has seen its website’s natural visits increase by 42%. We orchestrated a social media campaign that resulted in a 1000% increase in customer engagement in a single week. This result, 700 new Facebook followers and the increased interactions saw the website go on to win the Interactive Media Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Travel and Tourism Category.

Here at Cruise Connections we believe that excellent service is extremely important and this is certainly something that NuBlue does well.
