

A market leader in the UK, Nutricia is part of the Danone group, and the largest specialist nutrition company in Europe. Nutricia specialises in the delivery of advanced medical nutrition, supplying high quality feeds, systems and support services to patients and healthcare professionals. Danone asked NuBlue for help in developing Nutricia’s online support services.

Danone needed the Nutricia website to provide medically sound information relating to the nutritional aspects of specific medical conditions. A key element of the project was to create a space within the site for communities to share information and offer support – so the facility for users to generate content was essential.

We created an information website powered by the ExpressionEngine Multisite Manager. Use of the JIVE Engage platform would help develop the bespoke community Danone required. This would allow users to start discussions, share documents and write blogs about their experiences.

The site successfully meets the goals established for it. It is a scalable website that allows Danone to add to the pool of information it offers whilst gaining a cost effective market insight into Nutricia customers. It is also a trusted space where people living with cancer, stroke, PKU or COPD can come together, discover information and share experiences. It allows people to engage with others and engage with the brand – and this social element of the website has proved particularly popular with users.
