The purpose of the North East London NHS Cardiovascular and Stroke Network is to improve the healthcare of all its cardiac, stroke and vascular patients. Information for patients and carers is key to its work – which made creating a website the people of north east London would want to use crucial.

The Brief
Simplicity and accessibility were the twin challenges North East London NHS Cardiac and Stroke Network gave us. They needed to establish an online presence that would communicate health information to members and patients in an easy to use, effective way. The Network also required a content management system (CMS) that would make changing and updating information as quick and simple for the Network, as using it was for its customers.

The Solution
We created a clean, minimal website that reflected the NHS brand and strongly emphasised the content over the design. A powerful ExpressionEngine CMS would give absolute control of the website to the client, reducing its ongoing update costs.

The Result
The new site has increased organic online traffic by 230%. The amount of time each user spends on the site has also increased. Thanks to the CMS, updates to content are quick and simple for the Network to implement, keeping its ongoing site investment time and costs to a minimum.
