Hello,

I've installed WordPress on a number of domains in the past, on both Plesk Parallels and Cpanel.  However, not for a while!  I'm trying to install one now for a client who has their hosting with you.

I'm in their control panel and I've created a database in the relevant section of the site - but obviously, I need to create a user for it now.  How do I do that?  I can't work out where/how!

To Clarify,

I clicked "add database".  There was no option add a user.

When I then clicked on my new database to get onto PHPmyAdmin, it said I didn't have the right level or authority.

Hi Carly,

PHPMyAdmin won't work till you've created a user, as it uses that user for authentication.

If you login to the panel and navigate to the database then click on the database you created you should then be presented with an Add Database User button (it should be next to the DBWebAdmin button that you used to get to PHPMyAdmin).

If you don't have this button then please can you raise a support request directly with support providing the details of the hosting : Submit a Ticket

I can't conceive of a situation where you could create a database but not be able to create a user so I can't offer further advice without further detail.
