What software do you use most often? Are there any that you absolutely could not live without? I am partial to my Gimp2 software and photo editing software programs.

I use MS Words 2007 daily. I have to use this as I write and for anyone writing in English MS Words 2007 is like a boon. Wide varieties of facilities are there and one can hardly make any serious mistake while writing in English as there are provisions of warnings and assistance so that mistakes in spellings and also in grammar are not made or minimized to the best.
I love this software.

I regularly use CS3.  It has Indesign (for publishing), Photoshop, and a slew of Adobe products. For easy photo editing, I'm partial to Iphoto (which comes with the Mac). I also use MS Word2008 and Ichat. smile

All the time software or just some of the time? My anti virus is always up (ESET NOD32), Trillian (for work and play), and Outlook would be my top three.

I don't use that many applications any more, I occasionally use open office when I need to type a letter or create a spreadsheet. I use gmail for my email. I have also used google docs in the past.

I use to use word perfect, but that is way outdated now-isnt' it?    I just updated something called open office. I am now using that when I need to make a spreadsheet.

I use GIMP too pretty often. I also use Word and Excel very often along with Visual Studio for my web development.

I also use notepad pretty commonly when I just want to write some quick HTML or Javascript.

I use notepad almost daily. I love that there are no markups on it.  I don't use MS Office that often, except for when I log into citrix for work.  I am a huge AIM addict, so that gets used as well.

What is GIMP?  I've never even heard of it.  I use all the Microsoft products every day at work.  When I'm home I usually just use Outlook and Firefox for the internet.

Gimp is a program I use for making and modifying graphics. It is free and updated regularly. It is somewhat complex at first however once you use it for a while it is quite simple.
