VPS LOG IN
HI
I CANT SEEM TO LOG IN TO MY VPS SERVER, AND THE DETAILS I WAS SUPPLIED WITH NO LONGER SEEM TO WORK. HELP????
Hi Mike,
if you recall/know the admin email address you should be able to do a forgotten password request on the control panel. If this still doesn't work or you have any other problems please drop us an email with your account details, name etc and we can reset your password for you.
Kind Regards, Ewan
Hi Guys
How do I login with root SSH on my VPS? I can't seem to get it to work! Any help would be much appreciated ![]()
Hi Jenny,
For security purposes some companies require that customers login via a domain that has SSH access enabled first (at the very least it requires knowledge of 2 passwords to gain full access!).
Therefore, log in to the hosting control panel, click on domains, domain, setup, and select bin/bash from the shell access dropdown. Next click on OK.
Now log in using that domain's FTP username and password. Once you've logged in, type su - into the command line and enter the root password.
You should now be logged in as root... Please remember to be careful, as you can potentially destroy the entire server with a root login.
I hope this helps and if you require further assitance, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards Marcie
