I'm trying to get a Wordpress site going for one of my domains that I have through my Nublue account but going through the Wordpress 'famous 5 minute installation' I keep coming up against a 404 error when typing in my url then the wp-admin/install.php. It comes up with a pop up box wanting to open/download the install.php file.

I've tried everything in the forums, suggestions, tips etc but can't seem to make it work. I've set up the wp-config file, tried removingeverything, downloaded Wordpress for the third time and uploaded all again and still the same issue.

I don't think it's a nublue thing, so I must be not doing/doing to get this pop up everytime rather than the install prompt?

The domain is www.breadriots.com if anyone can help....please? help out a girl in need....

Any thoughts?

(oh, I've looked at the Nublue install video over and over but it doesn't seem to give anything away, I'm uploading to the httpdocs folder for the domain.)

Hi missryall_ytt,

Sorry for the delay in responding, the problem is that PHP is not enabled on the domain.  To fix, login to our Hosting Control Panel, click on Home, then on your domain, then on the button labelled Setup.

Scroll down to near the bottom of the page and where it says PHP Support ensure there is a tick, and where it says Safe Mode just after ensure there is no tick.

Click OK to save, and you should then be good to go,

I'll also look into why our system didn't tell us that your message had gone unanswered!

Paul.
