Get Up Close and Personal

October 22 2007

Let’s face it, e-mail is impersonal. There’s little room for emotion or inflection, and body language? Forget it. Of course, you can use emphasis to stress a point or draw attention, but there is a limit. Those days are over. We are introducing, free of charge, an innovative new addition to our webmail services – Video Email.

How does it work? Simple: Open up your webmail, turn on your webcam, and start recording. The beauty of it is you can be as rehearsed as you like (for that business contact) or as spontaneous and wacky as you like (sending a video postcard to the kids while you tour Barcelona). Your video will be stored on our servers so your contact can view it any time.

Can’t I already do this with a video phone? You could – as long as you didn’t mind footing the huge bill that followed. Video Email is completely free and offers a much more convenient platform for everyone: you don’t have to make sure the other person is available at exactly the moment you want to send the message, erasing time difference nightmares and meaning you can send when you need to and your contacts can watch when they can. To top it all, you can send your message to multiple recipients, saving you time and effort.

So that’s it. See and be seen, hear and be heard, anywhere in the world, with anyone. Oh, did we mention it’s free?
