Webmail Update
July 08 2008
Customers using our Webmail may have noticed a brief moment between 1615 and 1625 on the 8th of July where they were unable to access their Webmail. This was due to an upgrade to our Atmail Webmail client (which, we hasten to add, went seamlessly!). There will have been no point during this period where you would not have been receiving emails - it will only have affected your access to your email accounts through Webmail, and customers using email clients such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird won’t have noticed at all.
We’ve upgraded from 5.2 to 5.4. The major changes include full support for the Firefox 3, SSL support for IMAP/POP3, and Windows Vista support for Websync - a nice application that will sync your Address Book and Calendars with Outlook 2007 and 2003. It can sync reminders, date alerts, recurring events and more besides. You can download the app here. The update also includes over 100 improvements, updates and additions, including iPhone support, browser specific optimisations and a few minor bug fixes - all in all, a worthwhile update, and we hope that we didn’t bother anyone with the brief moment when your Webmail was not available!
