R1Soft CDP Backups

R1Soft CDP Solution is a server software application that enables disk-based data protection and recovery for servers and workstations running Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. NuBlue uses R1SOFTs CDP backup solution for all our servers across all our hosting platforms. CDP is available to all NuBlue customers so let us know if you would like to have it added to your account.

CDP Server works by reading your hard disk volumes at the sector level, bypassing the file system for the ultimate in performance and recovery. The disk sector synchronisation is performed while the server is online and provides no interruption to other I/O requests even on a busy server. 

Sector based backups increase restore speeds and reduce overhead. Servers can be fully operational with minimal impact during backups which can usually be performed at anytime, even on the busiest of servers.

During normal host operation, the R1Soft CDP Agent keeps a journal of disk changes. Incremental backups know what sectors on the disk have changed before the backup operation even starts.

Software can be completely controlled off site using a web-based interface. Data is continuously encrypted while in storage and during network transmission using RSA keys. Decryption during a restore is only possible when the encryption key holder enters their pass phrase.
