Marketing Executive, working across the CTI Group.

It’s been an unbelievably successful year for Nublue, we’re looking back on what made this year so great & the milestones we’ve achieved along the way.

As we’ve moved forward with the CTI Group, who onboarded two new businesses, Mosquito Digital and Worship CRO, we’ve taken more steps towards being THE digital powerhouse of the North.

From new clients to new awards, we’ve seen a number of highs this year.

I mean really, they are so good, this will be the shortest review I’ve ever written. I’ve been a customer of Nublue for years and years and at various levels of spend and their customer service, product and technical support are just utterly faultless.

I’ve mainly dealt with Raoul and Matthew and both are a total credit to their company but everyone I have ever dealt with there has been. If every company I dealt with delivered in the way Nublue does, my life would be so much simpler.

Smashing goals & raising the bar!

This year has seen us work on our biggest project to date – Visit Britain with their Camelot funded lottery campaign. This process has been one of the most extensive and expansive environments we’ve had the pleasure of working with, and we look forward to future campaigns in 2022.

We don’t stop there – The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is scheduled to launch in 2022… and will be even bigger!

The team have spent the last year working extremely hard to integrate hosting and support processes across the group of now 7 brands. Nublue now works cohesively with all the parties within the group, in various capacities, to assist with:

  • Hosting provision
  • Support provisions
  • Forming development processes
  • Onboarding clients

Behind the scenes, there’s been a lot of planning and processing around formalising and centralising hosting operations. This covers everything from out of hours support, to protocols and training. Alongside our continually growing and award-winning Nublue hosting services, we’re now supporting and underpinning the growth and success of our friends at CTI, Ixis, Mosquito and Worship.

Across the group, we’ve onboarded a lot of big client names such as – Maze Living, Hercules Construction, BodyBuilding Warehouse, Visit Britain, Department of Health and Social Care, and Activision.

We were also able to maintain our position as Crown Commercial Service suppliers to G-Cloud 12 with a very active first year of enquiries!

Making sure we’re always finding new ways to adapt and improve our approach is really important to us, and to assure we’re providing the best service to our clients. This year, Nublue achieved ISO 27001 certification in addition to Cyber Essentials. We’re looking forward to continuing to build our processes in line with the standard going forward. With ISO 9001 renewal next year we will have fully consolidated accreditations through the group.

We have been expanding our hosting solutions, and are now providing and supporting Microsoft Azure as a platform – in addition to our physical hosting presence in Manchester, and our cloud-based offerings provided via Amazon’s AWS service.

The last 12 months have been a time of big change and growth for Nublue as the hosting brand for the CTI Group. 2021 presented a lot of challenges, but we are ending the year stronger than we started, which is a testament to the people and values within Nublue.

We have on-boarded a record number of recognised brands this year, whilst also becoming ISO27001 certified and winning the Prolific North Tech Team of the year 2021. Behind the scenes, our team has worked hard to integrate and provide additional hosting support to the new brands in the group.

I’m exceptionally proud of the team and what they have achieved this year.

Clients

Body Building Warehouse joined the Nublue hosting family this year with a successful collaboration between their in-house development team and our hosting team, resulting in a successful launch of their store on a managed AWS Cluster.

THBaker continues to grow with Nublue and Supercharged Commerce with a large upgrade to hosting planned for 2022 in line with the launch of their new Magento 2 store developed by the Supercharged Commerce team.

Ellis Brigham is an existing Mosquito client, who we have helped to onboard in 2021. We migrated them from a physical hosting environment to a fully managed, auto-scaling cloud solution; alongside integration to the award-winning development teams within the group. This successful move has allowed them to accelerate their growth plans and look ahead to the future with a solid platform behind them.

The British Council have renewed their contract with the CTI group and the hosting team continues to enhance the support we provide to them with the consolidated expertise and resources that we have as a group.

Awards

Reviews like this speak for themselves:

Nublue from initial engagement with the team understood our requirements swiftly and took full ownership of the integration project moving us seamlessly from a static server hosting environment to their AWS services.

Moving into 2022 as a group…

Our CEO Nick Rhind hinted at future expansion plans in an interview with Prolific North in July this year.

Speaking exclusively to Prolific North, Nick revealed plans to unveil a new group brand name and strategy – so keep your eyes peeled for this news in the early New Year! (If you have had the chance to visit our Manchester HQ, you may have seen a few teasers already.)

Despite working on large-scale digital transformation, marketing, creative, and quote-based projects, CTI is often still viewed as a company that primarily focuses on tech. We’re seeking to change this perception in 2022.
“It’s hard to change something you’re known for. So, for us, it is very much about bringing in complementary businesses into the group,” he added.

We’re so excited to see what’s to come in what’s left of 2021 and make bigger and better moves throughout the agency in 2022.
