Amy Fleming, our UX & Analytics Analyst and a student at Lancaster University, has won the regional round in the Student Employee of the Year Awards!

Amy has been with us since last October, gaining professional experience in our digital agency while she studies for her computer science degree. Her work in compiling analytics and user experience reports has played a vital role in helping us to secure new web design and development clients – and it’s this standard of work which has led her to win the Lancaster Institutional Award in the Commercial Impact (Off-Campus) category.

Amy has since gone on to beat the best of the North West, winning the regional award – and now faces judging at the national level.

The Student Employee Award for Commercial Impact recognises a student who has made a significant commercial impact to a business or organisation. It demonstrates that a student has increased profit, generated new business, developed an enterprising idea by identifying new opportunities, engaged with new audiences, or introduced a scheme to save money.

Our Agency Manager Matt Hutchinson nominated Amy for the award back in April, based on the excellent work and contribution she has made to help secure a number of significant client wins for Nublue:

Amy uses analytics and user experience data to help make sure that the websites we create are closely tailored to the people who use them. Her ability to take raw analytics data as well as competitor/industry research, and to convert this into concise trends, advice and recommendations for our clients, has allowed us to provide a client service that we haven't previously had the capacity to offer. She has had tremendous impact in assisting our agency's client wins since joining our team, which is why we nominated her for this award.

We are absolutely thrilled to hear that Amy's hard work has led her to win not only the Lancaster award but also the regional award for the North West, and we wish her the very best of luck in the national round!

The results of the national judging will be announced during an awards ceremony in Birmingham on 7th July, held to celebrate the talents of UK students.

Upon receiving the award, Amy had this to say:

I am excited to have won the North West award and am looking forward to heading down to Birmingham to take part in the awards ceremony. Working at Nublue has given me many opportunities to develop my skills, and being considered for this award by my manager was an amazing honour.

Best of luck for the national round Amy, from the whole Nublue team!
