Nublue Kicks Off Official Soccer Schools’ Fresh New Look

Nublue kicks off the first quarter with the launch of a website design refresh for the English Football League Trust’s (EFL) website ‘Official Soccer Schools’. The refresh has updated the look of the Magento site and made it more responsive on mobile devices.

‘Official Soccer Schools’ is an online booking service which promotes popular soccer schools and sports activities available at EFL club community schemes in England and Wales; enabling busy parents and guardians to book places for their children more easily. Their aim is to inspire future generations and create memories to last a lifetime by providing courses delivered by FA qualified coaches.

The redesign includes a complete restructuring of the layout of the site, with the most notable change being the addition of bespoke landing pages for each club to act as an intermediary between the main homepage and the product listing page. These landing pages show visitors the top three courses offered by the specific club, a brief introduction, small picture gallery and testimonials from other parents and players. The EFL Trust wanted to offer first time users of ‘Official Soccer Schools’ a place to really get a feel for the clubs, build trust with potential newcomers and allow them to see what’s popular with each club and any upcoming events.

The other major goal for this project was to make the site fully responsive on mobile to greatly improve user experience. Due to the ever-increasing number of people using mobile devices, especially in the case of busy parents, it was imperative for the site to be seamless and user friendly on these devices.
