The new year brings a new project for Nublue, the north-west based ecommerce agency and hosting provider, as they begin working with Quenelles, a procurement price benchmarking company for the food industry. Quenelles have come to Nublue with a redesign project for their web store to improve navigation and customer usability around the site while also ensuring their mission statement is conveyed effectively throughout.
The redesigns are to be built in the Laravel framework; a pre-existing development toolkit that can accelerate the development of software without needing to start a project from scratch. This framework has been chosen to bring to life an innovative brief to streamline and consolidate pre-existing systems into a recognised industry standard. Nublue’s Lead Back-End Developer Sam Butler-Thompson shares his insight into using Laravel:
“Laravel is an excellent starting point for applications that require more than the usual ecommerce experience. It allows us as developers to make something really special – in the fraction of the time it would take to otherwise start from the ground up.”
Quenelles have also joined Nublue on an ongoing Retainer basis to strategically evolve, maintain and grow their website – for example, the team is looking to incorporate the pre-existing legacy system into Laravel to improve its security, performance and flexibility. By working with the agency’s expert team and data led recommendations, long term goals such as these can be achieved.
