CWV Wallcoverings is the company behind 3 leading wallpaper brands; Crown, Coloroll and Vymura, whose wallpapers are stocked in multiple superstores and in over 200 independent retailers UK wide. They came to us because their existing website needed greater visual impact and didn’t offer its own shopping experience – instead directing buyers to a partner site.
CWV asked us to create a new site Inspiredwallpaper.com with an integrated checkout, allowing customers to buy directly or locate their nearest stockist. It needed to entice and inspire with fresh content; increase sales by encouraging repeat customers and create a powerful visual impact for their brands.
A full-width carousel, responsive across devices, creates an image-led first impression, while regularly updated photos reflect customers’ desire for fresh, aspirational interior design.
The navigation is simple and intuitive, while a visually-led product selector tool, attractive Instagram gallery, recent blog posts and upgraded ‘Find a Stockist’ section create a richer experience. The homepage features CWV’s three brands, linking to separate landing pages.
CWV needed a visual search tool to help customers find products easily, filtering by colour, style and room. More than just dropdown navigation, it had to incorporate images, creating a visual prompt and navigation aid – allowing visitors to explore products easily.
We added several new features into these product category pages, including a top banner; a sidebar to filter displayed products; the ability to sort products according to new items, best sellers, price and A-Z; image, name and price per roll displayed clearly, plus strong calls to action to ‘Add to Bag’ – as well as Quick View and Add to Mood Board functionality.
Shoppers can now add favourite products to an account-accessible mood board from any range, setting themselves up as customers more organically. This customer-managed content displays the mood board name; Quick View and Add to Bag options; and a sidebar featuring other mood boards visitors create.
Visitors can also access more information from their mood boards, which display key facts about products so they can compare and add them to their basket directly and share favourite products by email.
Customers can view all products in their shopping bag, with the ability to update their bag, apply discount codes, estimate shipping using country and postcode and see a price summary/updated total.
The new checkout features secure PayPal and SagePay options and condenses the checkout process to a single page, making shopping smooth and straightforward to help maximise sales. The checkout allows customers to sign in or create a new account, but if they choose neither they will checkout as a guest – ensuring sales aren’t lost at the last moment.
