Our shared hosting packages are great value for money, flexible and reliable. They’re a great choice if you have a growing business website, and because we don’t overfill our servers with too many sites you’ll also enjoy great performance.
No one ever thanked you for a website that always works. But you’ll soon know about it if things change. At Nublue your shared server space gives your site the room it needs to operate at its best. We don’t pack our servers to breaking point, so your site doesn’t slow when traffic levels are high. And we constantly monitor our shared servers 24/7 to ensure that when your customers want to buy, your site’s ready.
Support that’s really, genuinely supportive? Now there’s a novelty. Lots of ways to contact us, lots of help on our forums, knowledge base and Twitter feed. And real people, eager to help, who talk your language – whether you’re a developer or business owner (or both). Call, email or chat online to a support team you’ll be happy to recommend.
Your hosting has to be compatible with the Web applications that will help your site do all it needs. Our shared hosting packages give you the option to run PHP 5.4, 5.5 and 5.6. They’re highly compatible with PHP Web apps. And the addition of Installatron’s Application Installer lets you easily install any of over 80 leading Web applications from Wordpress, Magento, Joomla, Drupal and more. So whatever you need your site to do, with Nublue it can.
Oops. You’ve changed something you didn’t mean to. You’ve edited a file and you want the original back. Accidents happen, but there’s no need to worry. Shared hosting with Nublue lets you backup on demand or schedule regular backups, so you can avoid those moments of panic. In addition Nublue uses Idera’s CDP to take daily block level emergency backups, so we’ve got your back - no matter what happens.
“Hands down the best hosting provider I have ever used. Real people on the end of the phone when you need them.”- Ben Frain / benfrain.com
Shared hosting is a great option for a new online presence, or for websites and ecommerce stores which generate under 15GB of bandwidth per month. If you’re not sure how much traffic your site is going to generate, all you need to do is ask us. As long as your site falls within the traffic guideline of 15GB per month, almost any PHP and MySQL web application can be hosted on our standard shared hosting.
Not at all – that’s what our support team is here for! Please feel free to get in touch with any questions and we’ll be happy to explain more. Many of our customers are business owners who have plenty to do already, so they let us take care of anything technical and rely on us to tell them about their website in laymen’s terms. We don’t believe in using lots of jargon with our customers who aren’t developers themselves, and we don’t expect them to have computing degrees to be able to work with us.
If your payment gateway is off-site (meaning your customer makes their final payment through a payment vendor website like PayPal, Sagepay or Worldpay) then using shared hosting will be fine. If you have an on-site payment gateway (where you take payments on a page on your own website, using Sagepay, Go Direct or similar) then you will need your own private server to meet the requirements of the PCI-DSS standard. Contact us and we’ll be happy to advise you on this.
You can upgrade to a higher shared package by using your billing panel, and we’ll upgrade your hosting account seamlessly to your new package. If you’d like to upgrade to a virtual private server or a high-performance managed dedicated server all you need to do is ask. We’ll work with you to migrate your site as smoothly as possible.
In most cases you’ll receive a daily email to let you know that you’ve gone over your limits, which will also give you advice on how to reduce your usage. If this overage continues then we’ll contact you directly to offer you advice, and if the solution is a server upgrade, we’ll guide you through the process from start to finish.
