And if you ever need more resources, you can upgrade your package from your billing panel at any time.
When you need help, you need it fast. With Nublue hosting you’ll get first-class support from people who’ll understand your problem and fix it quickly – and who’ll speak your language, whether you’re a business owner or a developer (or both). Call us, email us or chat online – or find the information you need on our online knowledge base.
We use high-performance Dell hardware and never overfill our servers, so that your website performs at its best even during peak traffic. But more than that, we monitor all our servers constantly to keep them running at their best for our clients. You can count on us to let you know if there’s ever an issue – and count on us to fix it as quickly as possible too.
What if you edit a file on your control panel and you want the original back? Or need to undo a change to your site? No problem. Hosting with Nublue lets you schedule and configure regular backups of your sites through your Plesk control panel – and we run a daily R1Soft CDP backup too, giving you the option to pay for a backup on demand whenever you need it.

What websites are well-suited to shared hosting?
Shared hosting is a great option for a new online presence, or for websites and ecommerce stores which generate under 15GB of bandwidth per month. If you’re not sure how much traffic your site is going to generate, all you need to do is ask us. As long as your site falls within the traffic guideline of 15GB per month, almost any PHP and MySQL web application can be hosted on our standard shared hosting.
Do I need to understand how servers work to use yours?
Not at all – that’s what our support team is here for! Please feel free to get in touch with any questions and we’ll be happy to explain more. Many of our customers are business owners who have plenty to do already, so they let us take care of anything technical and rely on us to tell them about their website in laymen’s terms. We don’t believe in using lots of jargon with our customers who aren’t developers themselves, and we don’t expect them to have computing degrees to be able to work with us.
Which websites are better suited to premium shared hosting?
Premium shared hosting could be your best choice if you own a small or medium-sized business with a site that occasionally gets large amounts of traffic. Our premium servers give you greater bandwidth for smoother performance, from 30GB up to 60GB, but unlike using your own private server there’s no need to manage your server’s resources yourself.
I have an e-commerce store and I want to be PCI-DSS compliant. Can I use shared hosting?
If your payment gateway is off-site (meaning your customer makes their final payment through a payment vendor website like PayPal, Sagepay or Worldpay) then using shared hosting will be fine. If you have an on-site payment gateway (where you take payments on a page on your own website, using Sagepay, Go Direct or similar) then you will need your own private server to meet the requirements of the PCI-DSS standard. Contact us and we’ll be happy to advise you on this.
What happens if I need to upgrade my shared hosting package?
You can upgrade to a higher shared package by using your billing panel, and we’ll upgrade your hosting account seamlessly to your new package. If you’d like to upgrade to a virtual private server or a high-performance managed dedicated server, or from standard shared hosting to premium shared, all you need to do is ask. We’ll work with you to migrate your site as smoothly as possible.
What happens if I exceed the limits on my shared hosting package?
In most cases you’ll receive a daily email to let you know that you’ve gone over your limits, which will also give you advice on how to reduce your usage. If this overage continues then we’ll contact you directly to offer you advice, and if the solution is a server upgrade, we’ll guide you through the process from start to finish.
